Our Therapists

All our therapists at The Room Massage Therapies, are fully qualified and highly experienced. We are recognised practitioners within a holistic therapy governing body, such as the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

We at The Room feel passionately about complementary therapies and provide a specialised, professional and therapeutic treatment.

Since being established in 2007, The Room Massage Therapies has gone from strength to strength.

TRACY CONLON

Tracy Conlon, originally from Armagh, came to Belfast to study Biochemistry at Queens University. On completion of her degree, she enrolled in a VTCT Diploma in Swedish Massage, Advanced Massage and Anatomy and Physiology, for her own personal fun. She fell in love with massage and soon realised that she wanted to make it her way of life.

Having completed courses such as ITEC Indian Head Massage and ISTM Thai Foot Massage she was employed as a senior therapist in the 5* Culloden Estate and Spa. Here she excelled in ESPA training for Hot Stone treatments and body and facial treatments. She became a valuable employee of the highly acclaimed spa. Tracy went to study reflexology in Chrysalis school of reflexology and trained under Chris Hoey, life coach, teacher and practitioner of Traditional Thai Massage of 20+ years.

In 2007, Tracy began her new venture, ‘The Room, Massage Therapies’.
Since then, she has gone on to complete courses in myofascial release, pregnancy massage and stage 1&2 reiki.

Tracy has developed her style by incorporating deep tissue work with firm but gentle manipulation, acupressure and stretching. She uses the knowledge gained from her training and her 15+ years of practice and adapts her treatments accordingly to her clients requests and needs, focusing on the areas of tension and encouraging healing with the mind-body.

MICHAEL ROQUE

Michael Roque is a fully qualified, certified and insured Holistic Massage Therapist and Reiki Master/Teacher. In 2009, he trained at Essentials for Health School of Massage in London and currently holds an ITEC and BTEC Level 4 Diploma in Anatomy and Physiology and Holistic Massage. He is also certified in Deep Tissue and Sports Massage, Hot Stones, Indian head and Aromatherapy Massage. In 2012, Michael achieved in becoming a Reiki Master.

Michael was interested in massage and complementary therapies from an early age, displaying a curiosity in healing and self help. He finally became accredited in 2009, but that was only the beginning.

After travelling and living in Canada, China, Southeast Asia and India, Michael then practiced as a therapist at a 5* Four Seasons Spa in Lisbon, Portugal and at clinics in London.

Michael has now settled down in Belfast, and is excited and happy to bring his experience to the people of Belfast. He hopes to be able to teach and show others how Massage and Reiki are capable of turning anyone’s life around for the better.

LAURA TOPALA-PUICA

Laura began her career as a Massage Therapist in 2009, in her home country of Romania.

Here, she practised Swedish Massage for many years.

Laura wanted to develop her dedication to complementary therapies and became qualified in Sports Massage and Rehabilitation, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Pregnancy massage, Cupping and Spa therapies.

Laura is deeply passionate about her work and has a broad knowledge within her field.

She is an empathetic therapist who enjoys listening and caring for her clients. She has the knack for being able to identify tension and finding where work is required, in order for the body to heal properly.

In 2019, Laura was proud to be part of the Futsal club, Sparta Belfast, as their Sports Therapist. She worked with them throughout the UEFA Futsal Champions League in Austria.

Laura is qualified and insured for her practising therapies and she is also a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapies (FHT).

CATHY CURRAN

Cathy is Belfast born and bred. Her interest in massage therapy was peaked when working at WAVE Trauma Centre. Here, she developed an understanding of the effects of trauma on the body.

As a dedicated student of Yoga for many years Cathy felt it was a natural step in her personal development to learn the art and technique of massage therapy.

Cathy received a Diploma in Swedish Massage from Belfast Met in 2017 and followed this up in 2018 with a qualification in Indian Head Massage. Cathy has since undertaken further qualifications in Deep Tissue massage, Acupressure massage and Pregnancy massage.

Cathy is now a qualified yoga instructor and is able to pass on her great understanding and knowledge of Yoga to her massage clients. She is passionate about helping people to relax and heal their bodies, aiding them to progress along their wellness journey.

Cathy is an insured practitioner and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT)

JACKIE GILBRIDE

Jackie is an experienced and highly qualified holistic therapist with over 20 years of practice under her belt. She is a highly qualified reflexologist specialising in fertility, pregnancy and cancer care. She also holds qualifications in Indian Head Massage and Reiki and is a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT).

Jackie has always had a love for energy work and natural remedies, so after a reiki taster session in 1999 she decided to become a therapist.

She is now a qualified Usui Master practitioner, an Integrated Energy Therapy Master and has recently completed her Master Seichem training.

Jackie is also qualified in Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP).

Jackie is passionate in supporting each individual as a whole person, on all levels, to empower themselves and bring more balance and harmony into their lives.

AOIBHINN MURRAY

Aoibhinn has been in the world of holistic therapies for more than 20 years. Having taken training in various energy healing modalities such as Reiki, Vortex Healing, Shamanic Healing and Belvaspata; it was a natural progression to continue her healing work on the physical body through Massage.

Aoibhinn has qualifications in Swedish Massage and Indian Head Massage and went on to teach Indian head massage in Marino College, Dublin. At this time, she provided ‘onsite massage’ in the corporate sector and had her own private practice in Dublin.

Her background in healing work provides Aoibhinn with the ability to tune into the needs of her client and listen to what their body requires. Along with communication and feedback from her client, Aoibhinn intuitively identifies the correct pressure and accurately pinpoints the areas in greatest need of attention.

PRISCILLA CUNNINGHAM

Priscilla is a qualified Massage Therapist and is also a registered Nurse (RGN).

Priscilla developed an interest in massage therapy after receiving some massage therapy herself, and was fascinated with the benefits it had on her.

She wanted to explore massage therapy by completing a GTi Body Massage qualification and enjoyed it so much she decided to go on and complete a diploma in Indian Head Massage and onsite/seated Acupressure Massage.

Priscilla decided she wanted to build a professional career in Massage Therapy and develop her knowledge and skills by undertaking further accredited study in Level 3 ITEC Swedish Full Body Massage.

She has enhanced these skills with further qualifications in advanced Deep Tissue Massage, Pregnancy Massage and Hot & Cold Massage Therapy.

Priscilla is a full member of the Guild of Holistic Therapists and is insured for all the treatments that she provides.

Priscilla believes that massage therapy is not only a wonderful gift to receive but a wonderful gift to give to others.

CAROLINE SILVERIO

Caroline, originally from Brazil, holds a Physiotherapy and Remedial Therapy qualification. After working as a Physiotherapist in Brazil, her eagerness to learn and gain more experience made her move to Australia where she studied Remedial Massage.

With over 10 years experience, Caroline specialises in muscle dysfunctions, postural alignment and sports injuries and is experienced in using techniques such as myofascial release, trigger point therapy, dry needling, mobilisation & stretching and massage therapy.

She is also qualified in Hot Stone Therapy Massage, Swedish Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Pilates and Ear Seeding.

Caroline believes Massage is essential and effective in both the treatment and prevention of injury as well as general health and wellness.

Caroline is registered with and a member of CThA  and is fully insured for all therapies she practises.
